What made these projects special to us?

We love the way Sue altered the fence from the Spring Bucket and the sign from the Fall Bucket in her Picking a Pumpkin layout!  We also really loved Sue's altered frame using the Soulmates and Live, Laugh, Love files from the Love Bucket with that really cool camera background!!

Hello... My name is Sue Shaff and I'm honored to be on the 2008 WBW Design Team. I'm married to an incredible soulmate, Rocky, who actually was the one who got me my CraftRobo for my birthday last year before I even knew what a Wishblade or CraftRobo was. I live in the ever changing seasonal state of Indiana (50° one day, 0 the next). My husband and I have 20 acres. It's peaceful, quiet, and I adore my life. I have two grown children, Nichelle, 37 and Michael, 35, an amazing daughter-in-law, Kristy and one adorable granddaughter, Haley, 22 months.

I started out rubber stamping cards for all occasions (for everyone I knew) for about 7 years now-my sister-in-law, Cindy, introduced me to that. I wanted to expand on that so I went on to scrapbooking. I'm an avid photographer (for my own pleasure) so I have plenty to put in scrapbooks. Getting my CraftRobo was so exciting. It added to the endless possibilities of what I can do with my pages and cards. Each year, I make about 75 Christmas cards and last year, I used my CraftRobo (which at the time, I only had for a little over a month) and files from the WBW to complete the process. I also use a ton of files from the WBW to create scrapbooks of my adorable granddaughter. Kelly and Tiffani's files are THE BEST. They make it so easy to get inspired! I am blessed with seeing things "out of the box." I can take an ordinary object and turn it into a craft.

My granddaughter, kids and husband, along with my 15 outside cats and 2 inside dogs are my inspiration for all my scrapbooking needs. I have wonderful friends and other family members who also add to my inspiration of my incredible life.

I work in a small "mom and pop" retail store. My departments include Christmas, lawn and garden and floral. I love creating in about any form of craft from painting to floral arrangements to crocheting, but card making and scrapbooking are my passion. I have so much to be thankful for !

FAQ

Which cutter do you use, how long have you had it, and tell us something that was really helpful to you in learning how to use the machine?

I have a Craft Robo----for a little over a year. I think what was most helpful to me was being on a group with a lot of experienced people to help talk you though your problem areas. Also, just trial and error....mostly error but I did learn from my mistakes. Still am...learning, that is! LOL

Describe your crafting process (for example: are you a planner? Do you create layouts or cards "off the cuff"? Do you like to create alone or with friends? With or without music? etc.)

I just go for it. I do not create layouts...I'm absolutely "off the cuff". I'll get a picture or an idea and BAM, the creative juices start flowing and I'm off to my craft room....by myself. I could be watching TV, on the internet or just laying in bed for the night and all of a sudden "an idea" pops into my head. Now, if I'm in bed, I do not get up and try it but if I'm actually awake, I get my Robomaster and/or Inkscape up and running and stay there until I get what I have in my head onto the screen. I'm a loner in my creating process. I don't want anyone around, I will not answer the phone and I try to keep my pets (and husband) out of the room while I'm creating. Not always successful at that last thing, though.

What do you typically pack to take to a crop?

Never been to one...

Tell us a fun or little known fact about you. (This one doesn't have to relate to scrapbooking or cutting at all.)

I'm a huge fan of drag racing!!!! My Dad started taking me when I was around 7 and I caught the bug. Then, I worked at a drag strip for a couple years and got to know many of the drivers. My husband and I have been to several drag races in the Chicagoland area.
